Common questions
Who is it for?
Adults and children aged 1 and over who haven’t had chickenpox or the vaccine. Two doses are usually needed.
Could I get it free on the NHS?
The NHS offers chickenpox vaccination to young children as part of the routine schedule, and to some people who are in close contact with someone at risk. Check before you pay. Check NHS eligibility on nhs.uk →
Booking for a child?
Enter the child’s name and date of birth when you book. The pharmacist checks the vaccine is suitable for their age, and a parent or guardian needs to come with them.
Can I have it if I’m pregnant?
No — tell the pharmacist if you are, or might be, pregnant.
Is there anything to pay online?
No — you pay in the pharmacy. The price shown is per dose.
