NHS vaccination programmes

NHS-funded vaccinations are free to eligible patients. Eligibility is set nationally by the NHS — your pharmacist can advise if you're unsure.

NHSFlu vaccine

Not currently running

The NHS flu programme typically runs <strong>September to January</strong>. You are eligible if you are:

  • Aged 65 or over
  • Pregnant
  • A child aged 2–17 (via pharmacy, GP or school)
  • Living with asthma, diabetes, heart, kidney or liver disease, or another long-term condition
  • A carer for someone elderly or disabled
  • A frontline health or social care worker

NHSMMR (measles, mumps & rubella)

Ask your branch

The MMR vaccine protects against measles, mumps and rubella. It is recommended for anyone who missed their childhood doses or needs a catch-up.

MMR is available on the NHS — your pharmacist can check your records and administer catch-up doses.
