AvailableFree blood pressure checks — no appointment needed at most branches. High blood pressure has no symptoms, so regular checks are important.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Aged 40 or over
- Anyone concerned about their blood pressure
- No appointment needed at most branches
If your reading is high you may be referred to your GP for further assessment.

AvailablePharmacists can supply the contraceptive pill to patients starting, restarting, or continuing a supply already prescribed by a GP.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Starting the pill for the first time
- Restarting after a break
- Continuing a supply already prescribed
With your permission, your pharmacist will notify your GP.

AvailableSupport for patients newly prescribed a medicine for a long-term condition. Your pharmacist checks in with you after two weeks to address any problems.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Newly prescribed for asthma or COPD
- Newly prescribed for type 2 diabetes
- Newly prescribed anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines
- Newly prescribed for hypertension
The service involves two consultations — at dispensing and a follow-up after two weeks.

AvailableSupport when you have been discharged from hospital on a new or changed medicine. Your pharmacist helps you understand your medicines and flags any concerns.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Recently discharged from hospital
- Started or changed medicines during your hospital stay
Your hospital will refer you to this service — ask your ward team if you think you would benefit.

Ask your branchFree advice and support to help you stop smoking, including access to nicotine replacement therapy and other stop-smoking aids where commissioned.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Any age
- Self-refer — no GP needed
- Available at participating branches
This service may be locally commissioned — availability varies by branch.

Ask your branchA free check of your heart, circulatory system and risk of diabetes. Includes blood pressure, cholesterol and BMI.
You may be eligible if you are:
- Aged 40–74
- No existing heart disease, stroke, diabetes or kidney disease
- Every 5 years
Your GP surgery may invite you, or you can ask your pharmacist if the service is available at this branch.

AvailableFree COVID-19 lateral flow tests for patients at highest risk of serious illness.
You may be eligible if you are:
- At highest clinical risk from COVID-19
- As directed by your GP or NHS letter
