Do I need a GP referral to be treated for Sinusitis at a pharmacy?

No — under NHS Pharmacy First you can walk into any Bounce Pharmacy branch without a GP appointment or referral. The service is completely free to eligible patients.

What we do

Our pharmacist will assess your symptoms and check whether you need treatment. Most sinusitis is caused by a virus and clears up on its own — either way, we'll advise on the best way to feel better and supply NHS treatment if you need it.

When to seek other help

This service may not be suitable in the following situations — please seek the appropriate care instead:

Severe headache, stiff neck or sensitivity to light (possible meningitis — call 999)
Swelling or redness around the eye
Vision changes or double vision
Under 12 years old
Symptoms lasting more than 12 weeks (chronic sinusitis — see your GP)
